Starting the New Year Right: Ensuring Peace of Mind Through Estate Planning

For many of us the New Year provides the opportunity to look back, reflect and give thanks for what went well in the last 12 months. These clinics, coordinated by the Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation, allowed for low-income members of the LGBTQ+ community to receive basic wills, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives and legal name change petitions. These documents not only provided reassurance that clients’ affairs were taken care of but also guaranteed that they were able to greet 2025 with a legal name that accurately reflected their identity and gender presentation.
